Important mammals : Leopard, Cheetal, Hyaena, WIld Boar, Bear, Sambhar, Barking Deer, Porcupine, Indian Pangolin, Rhesus Monkey, Mongoose, Jackal, Fox etc.

Important Birds :Paradise Fly catcher, Hoopoe, Serpant Eagle, Golden Oriole, Drongos, Kingfisher.

Important Reptiles : Chameleon, Python, Cobra, Karait, Dhamin etc.

How to reach :135 kms from the state capital Ranchi. Nearest Railway station is at Koderma, which is about 59 kms away. Well connected by well laid network of roads to Ranchi, Dhanbad, Gaya, Patna, Daltonganj and Kolkata via Asansol-Govindpur-Barhi.
